Decades Of Democratic Rule Ruined Some Of Our Finest Cities

A few years ago, filmmaker Michael Moore tweeted, “Flint has voted for Dems for 84 straight yrs” and wanted to know, “What did it get us?” He’s actually on to something.
It’s the city’s "Democratic rulers," Reason magazine’s Robby Soave reminds us, who have "robbed city residents blind to pad the pockets of public sector unions."
They’ve also been in charge as Flint has become one the country’s poorest cities (the second poorest, says the Census Bureau, for a city of its size), and a haven for criminals -- it’s the most dangerous city in America, according to Business Insider.
Flint is not alone, though. America is awash with troubled, dysfunctional cities that have been electing Democratic mayors for decades.
Detroit last elected a Republican mayor in 1957. It is now the model of urban failure -- it’s recognized more for its poverty, crime, rot and bankruptcy than the great cars that it turned out into the early 1970s. It is the poorest big city in the nation, with almost 40% of the population living below the poverty line. The website Law Street actually ranks Detroit ahead of Flint as the country's most dangerous city. Either way, it’s clear that both cities have institutionalized crime problems.
Detroit is also a pit of political corruption. Just in recent years, one mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick, was convicted of corruption and sent to federal prison for 28 years, while building inspectors have been indicted on federal felony bribery charges and a former city council member was investigated in a bribery and kickback scandal.
Chicago’s last GOP mayor was elected in 1927. The nation’s third-largest city is home to some of the worst inner-city violence imaginable. More than 2,300 people were shot there last year, and nearly 400 lost their lives to homicides.
Its finances are just as grim. "Chicago is so broke," IBD contributor Stephen Moore explained months ago, "that its bonds are junk status, and Mayor Rahm Emanuel had to go hat in hand last week to the state capital, Springfield, for bailout money to pay the bills." Things have been rotten enough, Moore said, to send "a record number of people ... fleeing Cook County, home to Chicago." Only a little more than half of the city's pension liabilities are funded.
St. Louis has been electing Democratic mayors since 1949. The Gateway to the West has become the gateway for crime. Law Street says that it’s the fourth most dangerous city in the country, Forbes says it’s the second. It had the sixth-highest poverty rate among big cities in 2014.
The last GOP mayor of Philadelphia left office in 1952. A few years ago, Moore identified it as a favorite to follow Detroit into bankruptcy.
Both Baltimore and Oakland had Republican mayors as late as the 1960s. In the era of Democratic rule, both are now more well known for their crime and poverty problems than for their charm and character.
Newark, N.J., hasn't had a GOP mayor in more than a century. It was ranked as the fifth-worst city to live in in 2015. Detroit, of course, was first.

I googled these words. “ I need a list of the most dangerous cities in America.” i’m going to start at the top.
A. St. Louis. TISHAURA JONES. DEMOCRAT.

I’m going to stop here because it goes on and on and on up to 60 cities. What do all of these have in common, except for one, and even she is a democrat. All of them come with nearly identical, slogans, except for, Miss Sheng Thao.
Her parents barely escaped the, “Hmong genocide.” After, being allowed to come to the United States, the family did like so many other people from Southeast Asian countries, They didn’t cry in their soup.
One of them, that I am very close friends with told me that when he was growing up all of the adults that survived the genocide and came to America had a saying to all of their children.
I seriously doubt any American will be able to speak it, but you can get it interpreted from one of many different apps. I have 2, from the Apple App Store.
“Lo dit va khuyu tay”. The translation is, “Assholes & Elbows!”. WORK! WORK!! WORK!
“We have been given a 2nd chance in life by such a wonderful country, and we will strive to be the best Americans possible.”
The children had to work go to school come back home and work go to school come back home and work over and over. Also, they had to master American English. Their parents also instilled in each one of them, American pride. That’s so many other Americans used to have.
They lived in actual poverty, even after arriving here for some time. She wound up in a very abusive relationship physically, and mentally and got out. She lived out of her car for a while, raising a baby boy. She “couch surfed”, for almost 2 years raising her son while also going to college at, Merritt College.
Her son was 10 months old at the time. Even though her parents home would be considered full by American standards. She would drop her son off and then go to school. Out of all of these people that hold the position of mayor, she is the only one that is really worth a damn.
After spending almost 2 hours reading up about her, there was a theme I came across.
Many times she’s been accused of being far more of a, “Republican than a Democrat.”
I came across a story about her and the baseball team, the “Oakland Athletics”. she ended negotiations with them because she said in one of several press conferences pertaining to this issue,
(I will paraphrase her. And I cannot recommend strongly enough reading up about her. Because these are the kind of Americans we need in this country. Today I have two Asians that I am close to and both of them are first generation born here in America. Both of their parents also, came to America with their SCALP! Barely in-tact! Running from the, “KHMER-ROUGE-MILITARY-FORCES.”

“When this was brought to my attention, I started doing some digging. And the more I dug the more I found out that the owners of this team down through the years have bullied and bullied the mayors Oakland.
They have gouged the taxpayers out of untold millions of dollars. All of these teams, in America are owned by some of the wealthiest people, and yet they want people that are struggling to pay their bills every month, to cover the cost of their ball parks.
From Seattle to St. Louis Atlanta in Miami, and so many other cities, these millionaires and billionaires have stadiums, while all of these cities are crumbling just outside of the grounds of everyone of these stadiums.
If they want to build a ballpark, they can Pay for it themselves. It’s not like they can’t afford it. I’ve been threatened that they will move to Las Vegas if we don’t negotiate with them further. You don’t negotiate with anybody that holds a gun to your head. So, they can take their team to Las Vegas. These negotiations are over.
We need good paying jobs far more than we need a stadium. The days of trying to impress this office with private jets and $2000 a night suites in Las Vegas, are over. It stops here. It stops now. It stops today.”

I cannot recommend strongly enough that people that read my comment should also read up on them. What happened in Vietnam when they came to power was flat out evil. The Nazis had nothing on these things. And after reading all that I did, I came to the conclusion that the Nazis would’ve been scared of these people!! i’m not kidding you.

(what they did to foreign individuals, like American, Swedish, British, etc. students that had drifted too close to the Shores, because all of them was on the sailing trips. But they was especially brutal to these kids. Burning some alive.
