Immigrant Groups With High Educational Attainment Flock to America
The US is Obviously Not Racist As Many Ethnic Groups Prosper Here
The US has historically been a melting pot of various peoples— mostly Europeans until 1965, when the Democrats turned that upside-down and instead began importing mostly 3rd World peoples of the non-white variety. However, many ethnic immigrant groups are coming to the US on H-1B work visas—mostly from Asia and South Asia; from India, Taiwan, China, Philipines, Korea, Japan, etc. These people have highly sought-after skills in technology, computer programming and engineering to name a few. Many of these same people came to study at US Universities to obtain STEM degrees that are highly desireable for potential employers.
See the graph below which shows median household income by ethnic group (data from US census data from 2013 to 2015). How can this country be racist when many of the ethnic groups are doing better than the average caucasian white population? Answer: we’re not.
Surprisingly some African black immigrants are doing very well in this country. Those legally immigrated here from Nigeria have a solid record of academic acheivement—the best acheivement from Sub-Sahara Africa by far. (Incidentally, US Blacks really hate the success of black immigrants. I’ve seen this firsthand.)
From Working Immigrants website:
First generation Nigerian Americans are highly educated. 63% of first-generation Nigerian immigrants to the United States are college educated. In comparison, 40.1% of non-Hispanic whites age 25 and older had a bachelor’s degree or higher (versus 26% of Blacks, 52% of Asians an 19% of Hispanics.)
In Nigeria only 7% of the population are college graduates.
Second generation Nigerian Americans excel. They are more highly concentrated at the upper levels than for any other group. For example, among second-generation Asian men, 7.3% obtained PhD or professional degrees, compared to 14% for second-generation Nigerian American.
The group with the highest level of educational attainment is second-generation Nigerian American women. 71.1% have bachelor’s or higher degrees (vs. 68.2% for second-generation Nigerian American men.).Or check out other groups that have the HIGHEST EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT (note Nigeria is high in education but South Asians and Taiwanese top the list):
Here’s another graphic showing highly educated groups of people living in the US:
America is still a melting pot, but with a rapidly shrinking percentage of white persons due to indiscriminate mass immigration at our Southern border Most of these illegal aliens come mostly from Latin America but also from Cuba, Africa and the Caribbean.
The illegals from Latin America and the Caribbean are mostly low skilled, low-educated people who are overwhelmingly suited for menial jobs. Countries in Central America, Mexico and parts of S. America have miniumum wages of about $5 PER DAY. And it’s low for a reason. These workers have few important skills of high value.
Also, the initial group of Latino immigrants do well, but the next generation is a problem as 50% of Latino kids drop out of high school (about the same as US Blacks). And if you don't have a high school diploma in this country, you are nowhere. This is also why there are youth gang problems in Latino and Black neighborhoods.
The indiscriminate mass immigration of un-vetted and un-qualified illegal aliens into this country puts US Blacks and other Latinos at a disadvantage as both groups struggle to find lower-skill jobs. Both Latinos and US Blacks both have lower income than the national and White average.
Even though US Black median household income is quite low (in 2103-2015), there is basis for hope:
