Just as Germany closes down it's last nuclear plant, in the middle of an energy crisis, one of it's largest power providers announced a 45% increase in electricity price to $0.49/kw-hr. (Average US power cost=$0.11 /kw-hr or thereabouts. Also, because they are using very expensive imported LNG, Germany is now up to 33% reliant on coal power. Green energy is just a confused mess.
