I flew to Nha Trang Vietnam on the 20th of April from Hanoi. I’m staying at an Airbnb apartment on the 38th floor of the Panorama Building for the next 8 nights (or longer). I’ve already indicated to the owners that I might stay longer.
So, far I’m loving this place. There are really great food options with the quality that I’m looking for. It’s much better than Hanoi. I suspect it’s much better than Ho Chi Minh city too. Most food options are $2 to $4 per dish.
I like my little apartment. It’s a small hotel room with a little “kitchen”with a cooktop and refrigerator. It’s small but very high quality finishes, a Queen sized Tempur-Pedic bed, blackout curtains, luxury quality bedding, floor to ceiling view of the city and nearby hills. There’s a decent gym downstairs on the 6th floor too, which I’m using. It’s only $21 per night, plus some small Airbnb charges.
Here’s some photos of Nha Trang (click any image to open a photo viewer for scrolling):
Great pictures Doug! Nha Trang is in what was once South VietNam. There was an Army base and Air Cavalry deployed there. Was this city involved or affected by the fighting during the pre-1975 war?

(you definitely cannot beat the prices over there. That was one of the things that always stood out to me, when I was in and out of numerous-different, port-of-calls…
