My cousin has worked the night shift at a 7/11 for the past 15 years in Bushwick Brooklyn in NY. The blacks and Hispanics in that neighborhood are constantly running in there asking for free shit. Those people need to go back to whatever hole they crawled out of. Those same people also stole a bunch of shit from another cousin's home. Apparently, they'd never seen a wonderfully decorated house before and helped themselves to a bunch of shit. What a nightmare country we live in.
Do you live up there? Or maybe you left there? My neice moved from Huntington Beach to Greenville SC. I think she's happier there. The NE is a rat race and not too many people are happy. And if you can't be happy, what's the point of living there?
I moved out of NY and into NJ a little while ago. It's shameful what that city has become. There are now places in NJ where you can't get service unless you speak Spanish. I think you're right when you say the NE is a rat race. It's a nightmare.
I screwed-up. She lived out Huntington Station (mid-island). My sister lived in Port Jeff. Station for a number of years, but moved to Tampa. I used to visit that area many times on Long Island. I didn't see a lot of happy people. I had the feeling that they were struggling to make ends meet, thus my comment about it being a rat race there. I had a lot more fun and funny encounters in NYC where the people enjoy a little banter. I'm good at starting a conversation and joking around and the locals there liked it and played along. I always had a nice time in the City, but I was just there for the day and then back to Port Jeff.
What a coincidence. I went to Stony Brook University which is out in Long Island and I lived in Port Jefferson one summer when I was taking summer classes. I loved it there. You are correct that the folks there are barely making it. I also remember seeing homeless veterans at the Port Jeff train station and that really pissed me off. It also really pisses me off that migrants are being dumped into those neighborhoods. People are barely making it in the USA and to have this mess dumped on our front lawns is not respectful at all.
